The Editor's Letter

As Editor and Publisher of Peninsula Magazine, I chronicle the soul of Charleston through an elevated editorial lens. My goal is to bring connection into our storytelling, bridging the Lowcountry and modern culture. We are now taking that mission across the country, expanding our voice to bring fresh perspectives and stories of taste, lifestyle, and innovation to readers nationwide from DC and New York to Florida and Los Angeles.

Alongside an incredible creative team, my commitment has always been rooted in philanthropy and championing editorials about the people shaping society by building a community within Peninsula. I originally launched the magazine as a digital platform designed to foster creativity and allow our contributors to explore another side of their artistry. It was built to champion those actively shaping our cities through thoughtfully curated, editorially driven features.

In both my life and work, I believe that meaningful conversation shapes how we understand the world. I lean into curiosity over certainty, open perspectives, and respectful dialogue. I also believe that giving back is simply part of having a platform. Through my home organizing business, Home Simplified, I am proud to have contributed over $21,000 in donated time and services to support local nonprofits and families in need.

At its core, Peninsula is a publication for our readers to return to each month. We want to honor the cities we touch, respect the publications that came before us, and continue a tradition of mentorship while introducing the new ideas and voices shaping modern culture.

The spirit driving all of this is captured in our guiding philosophy: Someplace Wilder. It is an invitation to curiosity, discovery, and perspective. Through every issue, we hope to create space for wonder, thoughtful exploration, and conversations that expand how we see ourselves and the world around us.

With deep gratitude to our team, we bring you Peninsula Magazine.
